Led by Lamar Stevens, Mike Watkins and Josh Reaves, Penn State's dunk party broke out early and often in the 2016-17 season. The team totaled more dunks through just 17 games than they did in the entire season prior.
Some of those dunks were garden variety yams, while others were stronger roasted and seasoned yams. But one yam stood above the rest when Stevens put the Big Ten's player of the year, Purdue's Caleb Swanigan, on a poster at the Bryce Jordan Center.
Stevens' preposterous slam over Swanigan is a semifinalist for The Sports Daily's College Basketball Dunk of the year. He's facing stiff competition, so vote often to see Penn State's electric sophomore through to the finals.
