under armour all-american updates

  • Always a presence at the UA game, former Lion legend LaVar Arrington spent time coaching up linebacker prospects on Wednesday. Penn State target Nathan Proctor is the subject of his tutelage in this clip from ESPN. Proctor will choose between the Lions, Virginia Tech and Pitt on Sunday, but will still take official visits later in January.
  • Sean Fitz of Lions247 caught up with Penn State commit Sean Clifford. While Clifford is injured and can't play in the all-star game, he shared how meaningful the experience is for him. He also said recent commit Lamont Wade had him fooled before picking the Lions.
  • Penn State commit C.J. Thorpe and other offensive linemen from Team Armour showcased their skills in Day 1 of practice.

 Anderson-butts names top 5

Shaquon Anderson-Butts, a 2018 4-star wide receiver from Harrisburg, Pa., release his top-five schools last night on Twitter. Obviously Penn State made the cut. His other finalists are Virginia Tech, Pitt, West Virginia, and Maryland. Currently all six picks on the 247Sports Crystal Ball are for the Lions. Anderson-Butts is the 268th overall and 8th best player in the state, according to the 247Sports Composite Rating.

 rocky top reputation

SB Nation polled 81 high school athletes at the Under Armour All-American Game, and the recruits named Tennessee as the most annoying fan base on social media. Vols fans led the way with nine picks, followed by Texas, Alabama and Michigan. The obvious take-away here is don't tweet at recruits, ever. Seriously, don't do it.
