Jamison to release top-5 in june
With the verbal commitments of Isaiah Humphries and Trent Gordon, Penn State has created the foundation for a pipeline of high school football prospects from Texas. Another Lone Star native, four-star cornerback D'shawn Jamison of Lamar High School (Houston, TX), told Rivals on Thursday that he would be announcing a top-5 on June 4th and that the Nittany Lions have made a strong impression on him. In his own words:
“They’re going hard on the DB class this year,” he said. “They’re coming at me a lot - they want me bad.”
“I’ve been talking to Isaiah a lot,” he said. “With Trent, we’re just starting a relationship because at The Opening (regional) was when we first met each other. But we’ve been keeping in touch.”
Future NYS record-holder profiled
Joseph Girard III is a rising junior at Glens Falls High School in upstate New York and is on pace to become New York State's all-time leading scorer in basketball. Through three years, he has scored over 2,100 points and yet, the 6-foot-1 point guard has only secured seven Division I scholarship offers, the highest profile one being from Penn State. The Glens Falls Chronicle profiled Girard on Thursday, talking about his AAU schedule and the new interest he is starting to receive from schools like Michigan, Louisville and Villanova.
Might he be a Nittany Lion down the road? Only time will tell.
