The Penn State defense left a lot to be desired in the first half of their Rose Bowl matchup with USC. But as always, defensive coordinator Brent Pry and company made the adjustments that have made the PSU moniker "Second Half Team" have meaning.
After two consecutive three-and-outs, senior linebacker Brandon Bell decided he didn't want to wait three plays this time around and decided to intercept freshman quarterback Sam Darnold instead. The ball was returned to the three-yard-line to set up another Nittany Lion touchdown.
Bell apparently injured his arm/shoulder/wrist on the play and we hope he's OK.
