It took another two overtimes to do it, but Penn State hockey defeated the Wisconsin Badgers to win the Big Ten Championship on Saturday night, by a final of 2-1.
After an unbelievably impressive effort, especially coming off of an emotional double overtime win the night before against No. 5 Minnesota, Nittany Nation held it's collective breath as Liam Folkes skated down the wide-open ice with a chance to win the game. What happened next will go down in Penn State history as the game-winner in one of the greatest games in the program's young history.

It was the perfect cap to a magical night for Penn State athletics. And it was worth every single second of the heart-pounding action that preceded it. Next up, the NCAA Tournament.
