It’s easy to argue that Liam Folkes’ game-winner against Wisconsin was the most important goal in Penn State history. It made the team’s NCAA bid officially official, gave it a better seed, and, uh, won the Big Ten Tournament.
If you’re anything like me, you’ve watched it 2,626 times already (many of which with “My Heart Will Go On” in the background). A problem I keep having is that every time the play starts, I start thinking about how cosmically improbable it was for Penn State to get to that moment and then I barely even watch it. With that in mind, why not break down how the heck it happened.
Go State! See you on Saturday, Union.
