What Matt said. And from a hockey standpoint, if Penn State makes the tournament, they will automatically be placed in Allentown regardless of seed.
The Big Ten preseason coaches' poll had Penn State at No. 4 in the conference, which they nailed. I can't find any record predictions either but I imagine they'd be around 21-11-2. No one expected the tale of two seasons though.
They're ahead of schedule re: underclassmen, and their problems are having a lot more turnovers/running into ridiculous goalies (Michigan's goalies allowed two goals on 83 shots last weekend).
