Less than a week after firing Kliff Kingsbury, the Texas Tech Red Raiders have a new head coach in Matt Wells.

Wells has been a hot name for the coaching carousel this season after a successful stint with Utah State. The 45-year old went 44-34 in his six seasons at the helm of his alma mater, making a bowl game in five of those.

The Aggies had one of the best offenses in the country this past season, ranking 11th nationally with 492.5 yards per game. Utah State has not yet hired Wells' replacement.
