Updated 3/11: Alex Hornibrook has announced his will transfer to Florida State.

Wisconsin quarterback Alex Hornibrook has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per Matt Zenitz on Twitter.

Hornibrook started 32 games during his time in Madison, leading the Badgers to two consecutive Big Ten Championship game appearances. For his career, the lefty threw for 5438 yards, 47 yards, and 33 interceptions, while completing 61 percent of his passes.

He missed four games last season, including the Badgers' trip to Happy Valley. Junior Jack Coan impressed in his absence, pushing for game reps even while Hornibrook was healthy. If Hornibrook does transfer, Coan is expected to be the starter.

He will have one year of eligibility remaining and is expected to be able to play immediately as a graduate transfer.
