The Michigan Wolverines received a big blow to their offense when it was announced running back Chris Evans would be suspended for the entire 2019 season due to academic reasons.

Evans was previously suspended from the football team earlier this year for a similar reason. He is no longer enrolled in Michigan and could potentially find a new home ahead of the 2019 season.

Evans was expected to be a key part of the Wolverines offense in Josh Gattis' first season as offensive coordinator. He ran for 434 yards and four touchdowns last season in relief of Karan Higdon, who is now with the Houston Texans.

Evans' departure leaves Tru Wilson as Michigans most experienced back. Wilson ran the ball 62 times last season for a total of 364 yards.
