Former Michigan quarterback Brandon Peters is transferring to the University of Illinois.
Peters started four games for Michigan in 2017 after injuries to Wilton Speight and John O'Korn. He threw for 672 yards, four touchdowns, and two picks over that time frame. He was supplanted by Shea Patterson ahead of the 2018 season, ultimately winding up third on the depth chart and attempting just two passes all season.
He will now look to turn around an Illinois program that ranked eleventh in the Big Ten in passing a year ago.
He will be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
