Michigan State linebacker Joe Bachie has been suspended by the Big Ten for the remainder of the 2019 season after testing positive for a "performance-enhancing substance banned by the league."

An appeal will be filed by the Spartans. If the decision is not overturned, it will end Bachie's collegiate career.

Bachie led the Spartans in tackles each of the past two years and was a first-team All-Big Ten selection last season. He was a preseason All-American by pretty much every major outlet coming into this season.

He's amassed 279 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, eight sacks, and five interceptions in his career.
