Alabama quarterback Tua Tagovailoa has declared for the 2020 NFL Draft, forgoing his senior season.
Tagovailoa suffered a season-ending hip injury against Mississippi State, casting some doubt on if he would opt to leave school early. Ultimately, it appears his draft stock will not take all that big of a hit, as he is still a projected top-10 pick.
Tua had a meteoric rise to stardom, coming off the bench in the second half of the 2018 College Football Playoff National Title to lead the Tide to comeback win over the Georgia Bulldogs. Tua's strong play allowed him to supplant Jalen Hurts as the starter, with the Hurts ultimately transferring to Oklahoma.
Tagovailoa finishes his career with 7442 yards, 87 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions, making him one of the best quarterbacks in SEC history.
