Former Indiana quarterback Peyton Ramsey has announced he will transfer to Northwestern to finish his collegiate career.
The Ohio native started 23 games for the Hoosiers over the past three seasons, including all 12 during the 2018 season. He lost his starting job to Michael Penix ahead of the 2019 season but retook the reigns after Penix went down with a season-ending injury.
Ramsey finished the 2020 season throwing for 2454 yards, 13 touchdowns, and five interceptions while adding seven more scores on the ground. He helped lead the Hoosiers to their first bowl game since 2016.
Northwestern is looking to revamp their offense after an abysmal 2019 campaign that led to the firing of their offensive coordinator. Former five-star prospect Hunter Johnson did not live up to the hype after transferring in from Clemson. Northwestern finished the season 3-9, their worst record since 2002.
