Former Oklahoma running back Trey Sermon will transfer to Ohio State to finish his collegiate career.

Sermon rushed for 2076 yards and 22 touchdowns over three seasons in Norman, with his best season coming in 2018. Last season, Sermon dropped behind Kennedy Brooks on the depth chart before suffering a season-ending injury in early November. He finished the season carrying the ball just 54 times for 385 yards and four touchdowns.

Ohio State's running back was in desperate need of a boost, with just one scholarship currently healthy. Sermon could quickly rise up the depth chart and become the Buckeye's feature back by the season opener.

Sermon will be eligible immediately and have one season of eligibility remaining.
