For the first time in recent memory, Penn State actually has 8 or 9 viable starting offensive linemen. Connor McGovern seems destined to be the starting center, but the other spots are somewhat of a mystery. Can Brendan Mahon and Andrew Nelson really come back and be starters? Should Mahon be at guard, where he struggled, rather than at tackle where he was a Pro Football Focus all-star? If Ryan Bates is a future NFL guard, why is he at left tackle? Will Steven Gonzalez and Chasz Wright hang onto the starting spots in which they performed admirably during the last few games of 2016? Why is nobody really talking about Michal Menet and Will Fries this summer?
