Congrats on getting hired, Saquon! You'll find supplies in the storage closet with the blue door and the big "NY" painted on it, the bathroom is one floor down, and IT will be here shortly to set up your work station. Welcome aboard! Try to get here a little early too, please.

That's how Saquon Barkley's first day on the job with the New York Giants went, right? Well, not exactly. Shortly after we found out Barkley will be able to keep his trademark No. 26 with the G-Men, he held his first official media scrum.

Later, Barkley hit the field for his first official practice with the Giants' rookie class during minicamp. Though he's yet to sign his first contract, he was full go, and of course the Giants wasted no time in posting "highlights" from said practice. Just look at how he OWNS those blocking sleds!

Minicamp continued Saturday, and you can read the full recap here. Notably on Barkley, he did everything Penn State fans have come accustomed to him doing:

• Saquon Barkley continued to show off his route running. On one play, he was isolated on linebacker Tae Davis and quickly got behind him up the field and was wide open when he caught what would have been a big gain. In the running game, he continued to show the ability to stop on a dime and change direction. I hate the fact I have to wait until August to see him practice in full pads with contact.
