If you don't follow the NFL closely (no one would blame you), you probably don't know about the season Chris Godwin is having.
The former Penn State star, one who head coach Bruce Arians famously said would threaten to catch 100 passes this season, has been phenomenal for Tampa Bay. After just 11 games, he has already amassed 70 receptions for 1,071 receiving yards, good for 15.3 yards per reception. He's also found the end zone nine times.
On Sunday, against the Falcons, he had what was perhaps his best performance yet, catching seven passes for 184 yards and two touchdowns for a whopping 26.3 yards per catch. He was rightfully rewarded for his efforts.
Thanks to Godwin's efforts and the efforts of his teammate Mike Evans, the Buccaneers have become slightly more watchable, if you can get over the five interceptions Jameis Winston throws each game.
The former Penn State star has been a dominant receiver in 2019, and is well on his way to becoming one of the very best receivers in the NFL.
