To the surprise of no one, Philadelphia running back Miles Sanders was named to the Pro Football Writers of America all-rookie team for the 2019 season. The former Nittany Lion was a star in his first season with the Eagles, blossoming into a rushing and receiving threat.

Sanders' spot on the team is well-deserved after he led all rookies in total yards from scrimmage with 1,327 (818 rushing and 509 receiving). Josh Jacobs, who was voted the offensive rookie of the year by Pro Football Writers, finished just behind him with 1,316.
The former Penn Stater's role should only continue to grow going forward with Philadelphia, as another full offseason will likely earn him an even greater share of the snaps heading into the 2020 season..
Sanders was a second-round selection by the Eagles in the 2019 NFL Draft. In his lone season as a starter in Happy Valley, the former five-star prospect rushed for 1,274 yards and 9 touchdowns.
