Penn State offensive lineman Will Fries has been selected by the Indianapolis Colts with the No. 248 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft. He's the third of three straight Nittany Lions picked in a row, following Shaka Toney (Washington) and Michal Menet (Arizona).
Fries started games at both tackle and guard spots throughout his time at Penn State, with the majority of his action coming at right tackle. He finished his career as the Nittany Lion's starting right guard, where he played some of his best football and likely projects at the next level.
He earned All-Big Ten honors as a junior and senior, with with second-team All-Big Ten honors coming in 2020.
He'll reunite with Robert Windsor in Indianapolis, someone he's gone up against in practice dozens of times over their years together in Happy Valley.
