Former Penn State linebacker Brandon Smith is off to Carolina as the Panthers selected him with the No. 120 overall pick in the 2022 NFL Draft.

A former five-star prospect in Penn State's 2019 recruiting class, Smith appeared in 34 games throughout his Nittany Lion career - racking up 132 tackles, 14 tackles for loss, and one interception.

His best season came in 2021 when we logged 81 tackles, four tackles for loss, defended five passes, and forced one fumble. He was named a third-team All-Big Ten selection by the coaches for his performance and was among the All-Big Ten honorable mentions by the media.

Smith will play under former Nittany Lion Matt Rhule and alongside former Penn State defensive end Yetur Gross-Matos in Carolina.
