Lions offer oweh

James Franklin wasted no time in extending another offer to a 2018 defensive end following the decommitment of Micah Parsons. On Wednesday, three-star DE Jayson Oweh (Blairstown, N.J.) received an offer from the Lions. Oweh has had a hot month, pulling in other offers from Virginia Tech, Georgia, Maryland, Vanderbilt, and Georgia Tech. He checks in as the No. 613 overall prospect, according to 247Sports Composite Ranking. Sean Fitz has more on Oweh.

lions on all the lists (probably)

2018 four-star defensive lineman Tyreke Smith (Cleveland, Ohio) announced today that he will announce his top 12 (deep sigh) on Friday. The Lions are certainly expected to be on Smith's list, as they currently stand among his favorites.

Similarly, recent 2019 Oklahoma defection Arjei Henderson (Richmond, Texas) released his top 10 on Twitter. Though it's early, Henderson is a top-50 overall player and the nation's No. 9 wide receiver for the next cycle. His top 10 is exclusively college football royalty.

coach smith in the lone star

Now that the Nittany Lions are asserting a wider national recruiting net, "hitting the road" has taken on a bit of a different meaning for Penn State assistants. Terry Smith stopped by Sachse High School on Wednesday to see four-star 2018 safety Isaiah Humphries. Lookin' good, coach!

hoops updates

Wednesday we learned that 2017 PG Jamari Wheeler (Live Oak, Fla.) sneaked an official visit to Seton Hall following his weekend official visit to Penn State. While still visiting the Hall, Wheeler tweeted that he would no longer be taking an official visit to Auburn, previously presumed his leader. It looks like it's a Pirates vs. Nittany Lion battle.

The Washington Post published an update on the massive amount of D1 hoops talent in the DMV, and Penn State is frequently mentioned. Pat Chambers has blanketed the area with offers in the 2018, 2019 and 2020 classes.

Chambers is also after Jay-Z's nephew. Nahziah Carter is a small forward from Rochester, N.Y. who recently reclassified from 2017 to 2018. He is also a former Dayton commit.
