Johnson plays AAU ball for Rivals Nation in Boston and checks in as the 153rd overall player in the 2020 class, as ranked by 247Sports. Johnson was the 2019 Eagle-Tribune Player of the Year, averaging 20.2 points per game and hitting 85 three-pointers in 24 games for Phillips Academy in Andover. He is the No. 2 prospect in the state and No. 8 player in New England, according to NewEnglandRecruitingReport.com. He had offers from Rutgers, Davidson, UMass, George Washington, and St. Bonaventure, among others.
