Originally set to announce his commitment decision this coming Friday, 2022 four-star guard Otega Oweh will now make his choice on Oct. 1, due to scheduling and timing conflicts.
Oweh is one of Penn State's top targets in the 2022 recruiting cycle and would be the signature piece of the class if he were to commit to the Nittany Lions. The primary competition for Micah Shrewsberry and his staff appears to be Oklahoma.
The 6-foot-4 shooting guard out of Blairstown (NJ) Blair Academy will make his decision at 5 p.m. ET on Oct. 1, with the announcement coming live on CBSSports HQ. You can stream it here: https://www.cbssports.com/live/.

Oweh's stock has risen this past summer, having played a big part in Team Final's title run at the prestigious Peach Jam AAU Tournament back in July.
Oweh is the third-ranked player in New Jersey and the No. 73 overall prospect in the country, according to 247Sports Composite. Adding Oweh to the 2022 Penn State recruiting class would bump the Nittany Lions up to the No. 7 class in the country. He would also be the highest-ranked member of the class, edging out recent commit Kebba Njie.
