Unfortunately for Penn State basketball, sophomore guard Josh Reaves will miss the first few games of the regular season due to a lower-leg injury. He's expected to miss all three of the Albany, Duquesne and Grand Canyon games, whereafter he will be reevaluated, according to GoPSUSports.
In the meantime, Pat Chambers will have to replace Reaves' production in the lineup to start the season. If Payton Banks is ready to play, he'll likely slide in for Reaves at the 3. Should the junior be unable to go due to a lingering hamstring injury, Penn State will likely turn to a combination of Davis Zemgulis and Terrence Samuel to fill the void in minutes.
This is certainly a blow for the Nittany Lions, but its one that they'll hopefully be able to overcome. They'll certainly be hoping that he'll be able to return for Duke
game upset on November 19, however.
