Flavor Flav is known to many for his contributions to Public Enemy and his multiple VH1 reality shows. But for Penn State basketball fans, he is the most high profile fan the team has, due to his support for his cousin Garner.
Garner's career accolades should come as no surprise to Penn State fans, as the senior guard from Roman Catholic High School has been a contributor since day one. He currently sits at 1459 career points, placing him 8th all-time in school history.
Though unlikely with four regular season games remaining, a hot streak down the stretch could potentially propel Garner to as high as 6th on the list. Currently in 6th and 7th place are Tim Frazier (1543) and Geary Claxton (1542).
When it comes to three-point field goals, Flavor Flav may have jumped the gun a bit in his excitement. Garner is 4th all-time at Penn State with 293 threes, behind Pete Liscky (332), Talor Battle (317), and Joe Crispin (308). He would need 40 threes to set the school record.
Garner will have another shot at moving up on these lists Thursday night when Penn State hosts No. 8 Ohio State at the Bryce Jordan Center. As for Flavor Flav, he has yet to be spotted at a Nittany Lions game this year, but with his cousin's senior night coming up, we could see him back in the BJC real soon.
