Former Penn State point guard Tony Carr, who declared for the 2018 NBA Draft shortly after the Nittany Lions won the 2018 NIT, has been invited to and will participate in the NBA Draft Combine. The combine will be held in Chicago from Wednesday, May 16 to Sunday, May 20.

It is unsurprising that Carr would be invited. Most mock drafts have him being drafted anywhere from the late first round to the late second round. Part of the appeal of signing with an agent right away is that the agent would be able to ensure these opportunities would be on the table. Carr signed with the agency Octagon Basketball, current representatives for NBA stars like the Warriors' Stephen Curry and the Bucks' Giannis Antetokoumpo.
It is still very unclear where Carr will end up being drafted. How his game will translate to the NBA is also a matter of debate. His height, wingspan, and innate scoring ability, combined with good floor vision undoubtedly making him appealing, but his limited athleticism and unorthodox long range jumper are serious question marks.
The NBA Draft will take place on Thursday, June 21 at the Barclays Center in Brooklyn.
