The Penn State men's basketball team was honored for winning the 2018 National Invitational Tournament by both houses of Pennsylvania's state government Tuesday in Harrisburg. House Resolution No. 954 formally recognized the program for their March victory at Madison Square Garden.

The vote was 198-0 in favor of passing the resolution, confirming that no disgruntled Pittsburgh-area members of the general assembly voted against the measure.

Head coach Patrick Chambers, junior forward Lamar Stevens, and sophomore center John Harrar were in attendance, bringing the NIT trophy with them. While in Harrisburg, they met governor Tom Wolf and state senator Jake Corman, who sponsored a separate document of recognition from the state senate.
