The Nittany Lions will host the Wake Forest Demon Deacons on Wednesday, Dec. 4 as part of the 2019 Big Ten/ACC Challenge. Penn State shocked Virginia Tech at home during the 2018 challenge, with freshman Myreon Jones pouring in a career-high 18 points in the win.

Wake Forest and head coach Danny Manning are coming off a brutal year. The Deacs finished the season 11-20 (4-14), good for 13th in the ACC. Manning is entering his sixth campaign at the helm and has losing records in four of his first five years.

Penn State is 9-9 all-time in the challenge, which the Big Ten has not won since 2015.

Wake Forest adds to a solid so-far announced non-conference slate for head coach Pat Chambers' team. Last week Georgetown was announced as Penn State's opponent in the Gavitt Tipoff Games. The Lions will also host Alabama, Bucknell, Yale, and play two of Syracuse/Ole Miss/Oklahoma State as part of the 2019 NIT Season Tipoff.
