Penn State delivered another landmark win on Tuesday night, beating Purdue on its home court for the first time since 2006. The Lions were never really threatened by the Boilermakers as they cruised to an 88-76 victory. Mike Watkins and Seth Lundy led the way on the score sheet with 19 and 18 points, respectively.
After the game, head coach Pat Chambers spoke with the media about his first win in Mackey Arena. He spoke about the difficulty of playing on the road in an environment like that, and how his team was able to execute the game plan they put together in practice.
Next up, Penn State will return home to the Bryce Jordan Center to take on Northwestern in hopes of pushing its winning streak to eight games. The Wildcats haven't done much of note so far this season, but every winning streak has to end at some point, so the Lions will need to be at their best to keep their historic streak going.
Tip-off is set for noon on the Big Ten Network. Check back with Roar Lions Roar later in the week for our preview of the game.
