According to Jon Rothstein of CBS Sports, Penn State will begin a home-and-home series with UMass next season.

The Nittany Lions will hit the road to take on the Minutemen as part of the 2021-22 non-conference slate, before hosting the return game at the Bryce Jordan Center in 2022-23.

Old friend Trent Buttrick, who announced his transfer from Penn State to UMass earlier this month, will face his former teammates in the first matchup. He played a career-high 13.3 minutes per game this past season and featured in all 25 of Penn State's contests.

Penn State and UMass used to face each other every season back when the Nittany Lions were still a member of the Atlantic 10, with the last game between the two schools coming all the way back in 1991.

In total, the two schools have played 23 games against one another.

Which other matchups would you like to see Penn State schedule as part of its non-conference slate for the 2021-22 season?
