Penn State freshman guard DJ Gordon has entered the NCAA Transfer Portal, per Stock Risers' Jake Weingarten.

Gordon appeared in just six games under former interim head coach Jim Ferry this past season, with his lone bucket coming in the team's blowout loss to Illinois on Jan. 19.

He is a former three-star prospect out of the First Love Christian Academy in Pittsburgh. 247Sports Composite ranked him as the 135th best player nationally and the second-best player out of Pennsylvania in the 2020 class.

He was a highly-sought-after prospect, holding offers from Minnesota, VCU, Iowa, Providence, Pitt, Dayton, Cincinnati, and Illinois, among others.

Gordon becomes the third Penn State guard to hit the portal this offseason, after the departures of Jamari Wheeler, Myreon Jones and most recently, Izaiah Brockington, who re-entered the portal last week and seems unlikely to recommit to the Nittany Lions a second time.

Penn State has also been active in the portal, with commitments from transfer guards Jaheam Cornwall (Gardner-Webb) and Jalen Pickett (Siena).
