Breakfast With D'Andre
When was the last time you salivated over 2017 four-star running back D'Andre Swift, whose decision is coming on Thursday? Well, he did a quick lil interview with Breakfast on Broad in which he compared himself to Christian McCaffrey due to his ability to create mismatches. Here, listen:
Swift will reportedly decide between Alabama, Clemson, Florida State, Georgia, and Penn State when he makes his decision.
Movin' On Up
The folks over at 247Sports updated their 2016 Class rankings. Yes, I know, we're in the 2017 cycle, but the 2016 rankings were adjusted based on which kids made it onto campus. Penn State, which was 20th on National Signing Day, is now 18th because all 20 enrollees made it to Happy Valley. Not bad.
Michael Penix may see an offer come his way in the near future. Pennix is a three-star pro-style QB recruit in the class of 2018 who currently holds offers from Tennessee, Arizona, Florida Atlantic, Toledo, and USF. Ryan Bartow of 247Sports caught up with the young signal caller, who said he thinks Penn State may offer him soon.
While the Nittany Lions aren't necessarily in the market for a QB in 2018 – Trace McSorley will be a redshirt senior, Tommy Stevens a redshirt junior, Jake Zembiec a junior/redshirt sophomore, and Sean Clifford a sophomore/redshirt freshman – James Franklin and Co. are keeping their eyes on some signal callers. Pennix is the No. 701 recruit in America and the nation's No. 33 pro-style QB in the class of 2018, according to his 247Sports Composite rating.
Whose Manns Is This?
Our pal Sean Fitz sat down with 2018 athlete Jornell Manns after his Mansfield (Ohio) squad whooped up on Big Walnut (great name) in its season opener last week. A subscription is required but highly recommended, and Manns is the No. 457 prospect and the 71st-best wide receiver in the country, according to his 247Sports Composite rating.
