Welcome to the last For The Future recruiting roundup before Christmas. We've had a couple of large reviews for you over the past couple of days (Penn State and Big Ten), but we're back to our normal interesting snippets today.

Parsons, barber named pa players of the year

PennLive handed out their high school players of the year earlier this week and Penn State commits swept the awards. Class of 2017 prospect Damion Barber won defensive honors and '18 star recruit Micah Parsons earned offensive accolades. The Harrisburg High teammates led the Cougars to an 11-4 season that ended with a loss in the 5A state championship game.

D'Andre Swift, the top player in Pennsylvania 6A football this year and still a Georgia commit, was chosen to play for Team USA in the North American championships that will take place in late January. 

jordan anthony commits to michigan

Jordan Anthony, the IMG Academy linebacker who listed Penn State in his top-5, committed to Michigan last night in a post on Campus Insiders. Penn State awaits the decision of Nathan Proctor, who will visit State College on Jan. 20, but otherwise remain content with their OLB pickups of Brelin Faison-Walden and Brailyn Franklin in the 2017 contingent. 

Lamont Wade pulls a Fast one

It has been nearly a week since Clarion, Pa. star Lamont Wade committed to Penn State. Leading up to his Saturday evening announcement, no one was certain of Wade's decision, and that included his future Nittany Lion teammates. Greg Pickel over at PennLive has all the details.
