Tariq Castro-Fields has been the top target on Penn State's recruiting board for over a month now. The four-star defensive back has narrowed his choices to the Nittany Lions, Maryland, and Alabama. He was expected to make his choice this evening, but has elected to wait for February 1, National Signing Day.

Penn State is still an overwhelming favorite according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions, but the wait for James Franklin and his staff will be tough.
The Lions' head coach has already used his in-home visit with Castro-Fields. Maryland has done the same, but the Crimson Tide has yet to send Nick Saban north, electing to have assistant coaches make the trip up to this point. There is some question, however, whether Alabama has space in their class, which currently sits No. 1 in the nation with 24 commitments, and plenty of targets still on the board.
For the first time in several years, the Nittany Lions may have some signing day drama.
