PEnn State Goes In-Home With Castro-Fields

The top target left on the Lions board for 2017 is getting the full-court press from the Penn State staff. After visiting Happy Valley officially over the weekend, Tariq Castro-Fields had James Franklin, Sean Spencer, Charles Huff, and Terry Smith in for their final visit before a decision with the four-star cornerback.

Castro-Fields will announce his choice on Monday between a final three of Penn State, Maryland, and Alabama. The Terps are a big favorite on the 247Sports Crystal Ball predictions.

Six Future Nittany Lions Make Final Rivals250 unveiled their final top-100 rankings earlier this week, with C.J. Thorpe shooting all the way up to 78th overall, and Lamont Wade staying strong at No. 11. The top-250 was released on Tuesday, with four more Nittany Lion commits making the cut.

  • DE Yetur Matos - No. 136 (previously No. 128)
  • DT Fred Hansard - No. 137 (129)
  • QB Sean Clifford - No. 161 (138)
  • CB Donovan Johnson - No. 224 (207)
