Recent Penn State DL commit Judge Culpepper (Tampa, Fla.) kicked off last weekend's Lasch Bash festivities by pledging to James Franklin on Friday. This week, Ryan Synder of Rivals spoke with Culpepper about his recruitment, why he chose the Lions, and what he sees for himself in the future.

head north, young man

You many not realize it, but Penn State has established a bit of a recruiting pipeline to our northerly neighbors, that took hold under Bill O'Brien (Michael O'Connor, Akeel Lynch) and has ramped up significantly under James Franklin (Daniel Joseph, Jonathan Sutherland, Jesse Luketa). As Land of 10's Tyler Donahue explains, the Lions have snagged a blue-chip Canadian native in three straight recruiting cycles, and are high on the list for 2019 WR prospect John Metchie (Hagerstown, Md), a Canadian import who recently received a PSU offer.

Pacific lb offered

Penn State may not be done at linebacker for 2018. On Wednesday, three-star OLB Isaak Togia (Garden Grove, Calif.) caught an offer from Franklin and staff. The Lions aren't alone in their late notice of Togia. He also received a Notre Dame offer this week.

i just...[sigh]...whatever

Recruiting is so weird.
