Class of 2019 defensive tackle Logan Brown received his 16th offer Wednesday, this time from Penn State. The four-star also has offers from the likes of Michigan, Wisconsin, and Alabama. Brown hasn’t made a trip up to Happy Valley yet, but he told Rivals that he plans to make a college decision sometime during his junior year going into senior year.

Justin Fields: Waiting for a sign
The No. 1 target in the Class of 2018 still hasn’t decided where he’s going to play football. Justin Fields holds offers from dozens of schools including Penn State, but the quarterback is still waiting for a sign. He sat down with Dawg Nation’s Jeff Sentell for an interview in which the Georgia native says that he still does not have a set date on when he’s committing to a school. Fields hasn’t eliminated any of his core schools from the list, and Penn State is still one of his top picks after decommitting from the Nittany Lions in June.
Cornerback Houston Griffith is set to make his college decision during IMG Academy’s media day. The four star Class of 2018 recruit juggles offers from Florida State, Ohio State, Nebraska, and the Nittany Lions. However, all signs seem to be pointing to the Seminoles for this recruit.
Linebacker Shane Lee announced on Twitter that he received an offer to play in the 2019 Under Armour All America Game. The No. 2 player out of Maryland was in Happy Valley two weeks ago during Lasch Bash, and in addition to Penn State, has offers from Clemson, Maryland, and Michigan.
Official but unimportant visits
Although he committed to UCLA earlier this week, and currently seems to lack a spot in the Nittany Lion Class of 2018, three-star cornerback Ken Montgomery still plans to use his official visits. Potential stops include Penn State along with Alabama and Ohio State. With four defensive backs already in the fold, something would likely need to change for Montgomery to have a spot with the Lions.

Some good news
Four-star offensive tackle Antwan Reed is still very committed to Penn State.

Rankings going up
Did you catch that subtle change for Antwan Reed? That's right, he, along with Merceyhurst Prep linebacker Jesse Luketa are now four-star prospects on the 247Sports Composite Rankings. With the summer camp season wrapped up, the various scouting services have been updating their rankings.
Reed now sits at No. 337 nationally as the No. 28 OT prospect, and Luketa moved up to No. 325 overall, and to No. 17 among inside linebackers.
Those changes now give Penn State 13 blue chip recruits (four or five stars) out of their 20 current commitments.
