Oweh Rekindles His Penn State Relationship
It's not that four-star defensive end Jayson Oweh ever forgot about Penn State, but in the time since the coveted New Jersey prospect was last on campus (mid-September), it seemed that every piece of news regarding his recruitment was about Ohio State.

It's worth noting that Oweh typically has great things to say about every school following visits, but these comments seem to be particularly positive. Oweh broke down his visit even more with Ryan Snyder of BWI. It appears as if the Penn State community at large is working to get Oweh to Happy Valley, with former running back Akeel Lynch even chiming in to ease the defensive end's worries about wearing number 22.
Change the "if" to "when", and we can talk to the GOAT himself. https://t.co/aRsYL3a1UZ

It's also worth noting that Penn State seems to be in great position for all of Tyreke Smith, Micah Parsons, Rasheed Walker, and Solomon Enis. However, it would appear that the Nittany Lions only have three spot left (and some serious roster maneuvering to do even to fit the current commits in).
So how will all of this shake out? Your guess is as good as mine at this point. But the situation the staff has themselves in now is a far cry from the "give an offer to a random player from Alabama on Signing Day" years (even if those random players turned out to be quite talented).
Bolton Gets High Marks
In response to a tremendous performance at the National Prep Showcase, Rivals released their thoughts on the weekend's standout performers, including Penn State signee Rasir Bolton. Here's what they had to say about the future Nittany Lion.
Penn State has a good one headed their way in Rivals150 guard Rasir Bolton. The 6-foot-2 guard finished with 24 points and five rebounds in New Haven, displaying tremendous toughness and a penchant for making difficult shots. There are already questions pertaining to Tony Carr’s long-term stay in Happy Valley as he could opt for the NBA after this season, thus creating an even bigger opportunity for Bolton to contribute as a playmaker and scorer for Pat Chambers’ bunch.
Prep Circuit even went so far to name Bolton their MVP of the weekend for his back-to-back 20-point games.
Penn State sent out an offer to one of the top 2019 prospects in five-star offensive guard Kardell Thomas. The Baton Rouge-native has been committed to play for LSU since July 22, 2016. But hey, never know until you try, right?

Kudos to Thomas for announcing with the rarely-used Rocket Mortgage gif.
