Four-star safety and Penn State verbal commit Isheem Young (Imhotep HS, Philadelphia, PA) was arrested on Friday and arraigned on multiple charges stemming from an armed robbery in south Philadelphia in late July, according to Philly.com. Young was arraigned on counts of robbery, conspiracy, firearms violation and related offenses

Young's Imhotep team played in the PIAA AAAA semifinals on Friday night. Prior to the news of his arrest and arraignment becoming public, it was announced Young miss the game due to "personal reasons."

One of the top-10 prospects in Pennsylvania, Young committed to Penn State in mid-July in elaborate fashion, filming a pool party pledge video. The Philly native committed to the Nittany Lions over schools such as Ohio State, Clemson, and Alabama.

Penn State's coaching staff has not released a statement on Young's future with the program.
