Since coming to Penn State, James Franklin has made it a point to dominate the state in recruiting. On July 18th, he'll look to do so again as Imhotep Institute prospect Isheem Young will choose between six schools, including the Nittany Lions.

Young, a four-star safety, is Pennsylvania's fourth-best player in the 2018 class according to the 247Sports Composite Rankings. He will choose between Penn State as well as fellow Big Ten schools Ohio State and Maryland, defending national champion Clemson, national powerhouse Alabama, and the Big 12's West Virginia. If he commits, the DB MVP of this spring's The Opening regional in New Jersey would be the third defensive back in Penn State's 2018 class, joining the Texas duo of Isaiah Humphries and Trent Gordon.

The Nittany Lions are the overwhelming favorite to land Young according to the 247Sports Crystal Ball.
