If you have followed Penn State recruiting over the years, Shaquon Anderson-Butts is likely a name you know well. The Harrisburg, PA native has been linked to the Nittany Lions for over two years. The waiting is finally over, as the three-star athlete has verbally committed to Penn State.
Anderson-Butts first popped up in Happy Valley in February of 2015, visiting as high priority freshman during the Class of 2016 Junior Day. He camped for James Franklin and the staff in June of that year, and earned his Penn State offer the following month.
The ANDERSON-BUTTS File

Over the next two-plus years, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Rutgers, Florida, Michigan State, Notre Dame, and Pitt would extend offers, but the Nittany Lions remained a constant.
Earlier this summer, Anderson-Butts was selected to play in the 2018 Under Armour All-American game, where he will join, among others, his Harrisburg teammate, good friend, and one time Penn State commit Micah Parsons.
With Penn State high on the list for so many receivers in Anderson-Butts' class, the big break may have come when he opened up to the possibility of playing on either side of the ball at the next level. In fact, 247Sports re-classified him as an athlete, from his original position at wide receiver.
Anderson-Butts is the 17th commitment for the Class of 2018, and third of the Lasch Bash weekend, joining Judge Culpepper, and Will Levis. Penn State's class remains No. 3 nationally.
