Lasch Bashin'

You may have heard, but Penn State had an unbelievably successful weekend with the Lasch Bash, with six commitments in five days after all was said and done.

★★★ DT Judge Culpepper (Plant, Florida)
★★★ QB Will Levis (Xavier, Connecticut)
★★★ ATH Shaquon Anderson-Butts (Harrisburg, Pennsylvania)
★★ K Jake Pinegar (Ankeny Centennial, Iowa)
  • Pinegar commits to Penn State
  • Long Story Short: Pinegar has a huge leg and looks like Penn State's kicker of the future. Ranked a five-star kicker by Kohl's Kicking.
★★★★ WR Daniel George (Oxon Hill, Maryland)
  • George commits to Penn State
  • Long Story Short: George combines with Justin Shorter to form perhaps the top receiver duo in the country. Has excellent length and speed.
★★★★ S Isheem Young (Imhotep Institute, Pennsylvania)

As a result of the run on commits, Penn State moved back up to the No. 3 recruiting class in the country.

As expected, there were plenty of reactions to both the weekend from those in attendance, as well as those watching commitment after commitment be announced.

And the always savvy staff made sure to use those reactions to their favor, particularly in this case in thanking offensive line commit Antwan Reed for being in attendance.

Micah, Shaq, and Isheem, Together forever?

Since announcing his commitment, Shaquon Anderson-Butts has not been shy about making it known that he plans on bringing high school teammate and close friend Micah Parsons up to Happy Valley with him when all is said and done. Whether or not that will truly happen is obviously yet to be seen, but you have to respect Shaq's hustle.

Another close friend of Parsons, Isheem Young, has already started doing his part on social media, as well.

And don't expect this to stop anytime soon.

Oweh, Oweh, We Set a Course to find a Brand new island everywhere we row (Seriously, Go watch Moana)

Jayson Oweh was in town for the Lasch Bash, and Penn State seems to have made another strong impression on the four-star defensive end. According to an interview with PennLive, Oweh has Penn State "right with if not a little ahead" of Ohio State.

Oweh is scheduled to visit Ohio State this weekend for the Friday Night Lights camp.

Also in Oweh news, the fast-rising end will be in Orlando this holiday season taking part in the Under Armour All-America game.

2019 QB Offered

Penn State seems to have found its next target at quarterback, this time in 2019 class, in DePaul Catholic (NJ)'s Taquan Roberson. Roberson received his offer after camping in front of the staff on Saturday.

Roberson is not yet ranked on the 247Sports Composite scale, but does currently hold offers from North Carolina, Virginia Tech, Maryland, Kentucky, Boston College, Wake Forest, and home-state Rutgers.
