With 23 players committed, and 22 of those officially signed, Penn State is down to the final one or two spots of their 2018 recruiting class. Arguably the biggest name left on the board is four-star offensive tackle Rasheed Walker. The Waldorf, Md., native has been a primary target for the Nittany Lions ever since earning his offer in June of 2016, and now has a commitment date in mind.

Before his National Signing Day announcement, Walker will take an official visit to Ohio State the weekend of Jan. 19. This will be his third official visit, after making his way to Happy Valley the weekend of Dec. 8 with the majority of the class, and visiting Virginia Tech the following week.
With his announcement not coming until early February, this will leave the door open for James Franklin to use his in-home visit with Walker after he returns from Columbus. That may be a key factor since the Buckeyes and Urban Meyer get the last scheduled chance to make an impression on campus.
