jones goes for 2019

Formerly 2020's No. 1 cornerback, Sheridan Jones (Virginia Beach, Va.) has officially reclassified to 2019. As we noted in our early enrollee article this week, the timetable keeps moving up for the nation's top prospects.

Jones lists Penn State among his finalists, and resides in a state where James Franklin has had some serious success. There's still a long way to go in this one.

offer me this

A stack of offers went out this week ahead of the end of January's dead period, which ended Thursday. Expect to see a lot of action on offers as Penn State looks to set up its huge annual junior day for mid-to-late February, and close out its 2018 class.

First up is a very late offer to 2018 DB prospect Julius Irvin (Anaheim, Calif.). Irvin is a four-star prospect and the No. 203 overall prospect in the class, according to 247Sports. Currently, Notre Dame is a huge favorite to land him over USC.

Next up is human wrecking ball and 2019 DT Joshua Harris (Roxboro, NC). Harris is currently a three-star and the 412th ranked overall prospect, according to the 247Composite. However, his recent offers include Virginia Tech and Georgia.

four-year recruiting recap

Land of 10's Tyler Donohue produced a detailed recap of all five of Franklin's Happy Valley recruiting classes. Needless to say, they trend in an upward direction.
