Three Nittany Lion signees found themselves listed in the latest update of the Rivals 100, which was released on Monday morning. This is the final for the 2018 class, with National Signing Day taking place on Wednesday, February 7.
Of largest note, WR Justin Shorter (Monmouth Junction, NJ/South Brunswick HS) was finally given a fifth star from the recruiting site after signing with the Nittany Lions last month. Shorter moved up 29 spots from the last Rivals top-100 list and is now listed as the 18th-best 2018 prospect in the nation.
Five-star DE/LB Micah Parsons (Harrisburg, PA/Harrisburg HS), who is already on campus after early enrolling this month, fell one spot from No. 5 to No. 6. As Rivals has Parsons listed at OLB, even though there are reports he might move to the Mike as a freshman, he is ranked as the best linebacker in the 2018 class.
Finally, running back Ricky Slade (Woodbridge, VA/C.D. Hylton HS), fresh off a Polynesian Bowl appearance, moved up 16 spots to No. 37 in the newly-updated list.
Rasheed Walker, the offensive tackle from Waldorf, MD who is expected to choose between Ohio State and Penn State in February, also made the list, checking in at No. 65.
