what can you offer?

Ahead of the quiet/dead period that begins on Sunday, James Franklin's staff is peppering top talent around the nation with scholarship offers and in-person visits. Here's a rundown of the latest:

Is the staff in Florida? Tough to tell.

Dontae Lucas is a massive offensive guard in the 2019 class at IMG Academy (Bradenton, Fla.). Lucas reports offers from Auburn, Miami, Florida, Georgia, Michigan and others. The Canes appear to be the favorites here, but it's early.

Another IMG prospect to snag an offer was five-star running back Noah Cain. Cain is rated as the nation's No. 2 RB and has over 30 offers.

If you're noticing a theme, congrats! IMG Academy is also home to OL Evan Neal, the No. 55 overall prospect for the class of 2019 according to the 247Sports Composite.

Darnell Wright is the top prospect for the 2019 class in West Virginia. The 247Sports Composite Ranking lists him as the No. 32 overall player for the class. His crystal ball is currently all Buckeyes.

DeMarvin Leal is a four-star DL from Converse, Texas, who already stands 6-4, 280lbs. The Lions join Alabama, Clemson, Texas, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Michigan and Tennessee as schools to offer Leal.

Jackson Lowe is a three-star tight end out of Cartersville, Ga. The Nittany Lions extended an offer Tuesday to the 6-5 prospect, who currently sports offers from Clemson, Alabama, Auburn, Florida, and UNC.

kickin' it with hilling

Hollidayburg's own Vlad Hilling has committed to Penn State as a preferred walk-on specialist. The 5A all-state kicker will join a wide-open competition for the Nittany Lions placekicking job in 2018.
