junior day offers

Penn State held its Junior Day event on campus on Saturday and a select group of attendees left with scholarship offers:

Brian Dohn of 247Sports went in-depth with Tengwall about what Penn State's offer does for his decision-making process ($$). 247Sports' Steve Wiltfong has a full breakdown of the weekend if you're interested ($$).

Pat Chambers picked up a commitment from the 2019 class on Thursday from 6-8 swingman Patrick Kelly (Virginia Episcopal School/Lynchburg, Va.). Kelly spoke with the local ABC affiliate in Lynchburg and gave a glimpse into why he chose the Nittany Lions:

"Well I feel like Penn State was the school that was meant for me. So I mean I was also considering heavily other schools, but I feel like Penn State was the one so that's why I chose it early. Well they liked my game but they also liked the fact that after a tournament I kissed my grandma after we lost. I missed a buzzer-beater, I lost. But after the end, I kissed my grandma. They said that's actually the reason they offered me."

This article feels like a month late, but [shrug emoji]. Chris Hummer of 247Sports went way in-depth on Penn State's top 2018 recruit Micah Parsons (Harrisburg, Pa.), and discussed why he was/is a polarizing recruit/player. There are a few nuggets that maybe you didn't know before.
