Nearly a year after heading from Gateway High School to Lakawanna College, Jaquan Brisker has found his way to Happy Valley. The former Gator star has verbally committed to the Nittany Lions, according to his Twitter account.

The Penn State staff, led by former Gateway head coach and current cornerbacks coach Terry Smith, has been familiar with Brisker for a number of years. After electing to take the JUCO route from Monroeville, the Nittany Lions extended an offer to the three-star safety in November of 2017 following his first year with the Falcons.
The Brisker File
- Class: 2019
- Size: 6'1/197 lbs.
- Pos: Safety
- School: Lackawanna CC/Scranton, PA
- Composite Rating: ★★★
- Composite Rank: No. 1 JUCO Safety/No. 9 JUCO overall
Penn State was the first major program to offer Brisker. They were joined by Maryland, Alabama, Iowa State, Ole Miss and Mississippi State in 2018.
Brisker accounted for 54 tackles (30 solo) during his first season with the Falcons. He also picked off four passes, returning two for scores, and recovering one fumble.
The only two visits this spring were in state to Pitt and Penn State earlier this month. Official visits were scheduled to Alabama and State College for this fall, but with space at a premium in the 2019 class, Brisker opted to get on board early.
As with most JUCO players, look for Brisker to get a shot at playing time early, especially on special teams. With just three years to play two, Brisker will get a chance to make an impact quickly.
Brisker is the fourth member of Penn State's 2019 recruiting class, which now sits at No. 42 nationally
