The Nittany Lions may have yet to land a commitment from a loaded pool of talent in the 2020 recruiting class, but arguably their top target will once again be in Beaver Stadium on Saturday. According to a report from Lions247's Sean Fitz, 5-star WR Julian Fleming (Catawissa, PA) will be back in town for an unofficial visit during today's game vs. Kent State.
Fleming, the top player in Pennsylvania's 2020 class, the No. 1 receiver in the nation, and No. 9 overall prospect in the class, was just on campus two weeks ago for the season opener vs. Appalachian State. Not only that, but head coach James Franklin was spotted at Southern Columbia's game on Friday evening, sporting some interesting attire.

The Nittany Lions are big favorites on the 247Sports Crystal Ball as well, holding all 11 predictions.
According to Fitz, Penn State's top competition comes from Alabama, Clemson, USC, Ohio State, Georgia, and others. Fleming did release a top-six earlier this year, but backed off of that declaration shortly before the season kicked off.
With an abundance of top talent in the Nittany Lions' natural recruiting territory, especially the DMV, the 2020 recruiting class has the potential to be the most talented yet in James Franklin's tenure. Landing Fleming early would be a huge piece of that.
